What exactly does Dootie Calls do?
Do you work with all dog breeds and sizes?
How frequently will you scoop my yard?

We offer weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly scheduled clean-ups. We also provide one-time cleanups such as in the spring when the snow melts, or before the special event your hosting in your yard. We’ll work with your schedule and needs to keep your yard looking its best.
Do I need to be home during service?
What if I have more than one dog?
Do you take the waste with you?

If you are on our recurring cleanup schedule all waste is removed from your property and disposed of responsibly.

If you are scheduling a 1 time cleanup – such as in the spring, we will put the waste in your trash receptacle. If your trash bin is not outside, we will double/triple bag the waste to make it presentable and place it next to your gate. If you would like us to dispose of the waste after a one time cleanup this can be done for a small fee as well.
Do you remove dog waste all year long?
Can you clean with our dogs in the yard?

We’re dog people through and through, and we’re more than happy to work with your pups hanging out—just as long as they’re cool with us being there and don’t try to supervise too closely. If they’re more into barking orders or turning cleanup into a game of chase, it’s probably best to keep them inside until we’re done!
Will you scoop pet waste from animals other than dogs?

You bet we do—within reason, of course! If you’ve got a pet elephant, we’re gonna have to politely pass (our shovels aren’t that big). But we’ve handled everything from goats to geese and a few surprises in between. Reach out and we’ll figure out the best game plan for your unique zoo!
Can I compost my dog’s waste?

While composting dog waste is possible, it’s not a method we recommend unless you have the proper equipment and knowledge. Composting pet waste safely requires very specific conditions. For example, a compost pile must reach and maintain a temperature of at least 165°F for five consecutive days in order to kill harmful pathogens—and most home composting systems aren’t capable of achieving this.

Even if those conditions are met, it is advised that composted dog waste should never be used on edible crops. Additionally, pet waste accumulates more quickly than it decomposes, which can lead to health risks and environmental concerns. High concentrations of waste can contaminate soil and water, and improperly managed compost piles can become breeding grounds for disease.

The most reliable and responsible approach is to pick up your dog’s waste and dispose of it properly. It’s the best way to keep your yard clean and your community safe.
How much does my dog poop?

Probably more than you signed up for.

But let’s get specific: it depends on your dog’s size and breed, of course—but on average, most dogs do their business 1–2 times a day. That’s about ¾ of a pound daily, which adds up to over 5 pounds a week. And if you’re doing the math… yep, that’s more than 274 pounds a year. Basically, your dog could qualify for their own gym membership just for “dropping weight.”

So yeah, your adorable furball is basically a poop machine with a tail.
